As we wind down our “Buses of the Negro Leagues Baseball Teams” exhibit–let me remind you that there is still one week and one weekend left for the display. Due to the VERY inclement weather we had for the month of February, we decided to extend the display a week.

Don’t miss meeting our “star” of the exhibit – Wilbur “Willie” Fordham, who was a pitcher for the Harrisburg Giants right here in the Susquehanna Valley. In 1947-48 he played for the Philadelphia Meteors; 1951 Oshawa Merchants and Belleville Redman, Candian League; 1952 he tried out for the Brooklyn Dodgers; 1952 he played with the Harrisburg Senators; and in 1954-1955 – he played for the Harrisburg Giants and in 1954 they were the Eastern Negro League Champions!

We are very grateful to Mr. Fordham for giving up his time to spend the month of February with us.
